Decisions, Decisions
My hunting bud started reloading for our varmit rifles but he's locked into this speed mode. He thinks faster is better and if the bullets don't fly right it's the equipments fault. I wanna try some of my theories and see if they work but I know I'll be stepping on his feeling and crushing them like eggshells being thrown against a brick wall. I don't have a problem with that, it's just finding the right loads to try first. I like the trajectory of fast bullets but I also like the knockdown power of the slower heavier round. I guess I'll try for the middle of the road approach. I'll post my findings. ( not like anyone cares or understands)

YEAH!!! I'm Not Cheap!!
I'm a Ferrari 360 Modena!
You've got it all. Power, passion, precision, and style. You're sensuous, exotic, and temperamental. Sure, you're expensive and high-maintenance, but you're worth it.
"Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.
For a while there I thought I was Cheap.

New post
Well, it's time to update AGAIN! Same ol'shit is still happening. Got three more weeks off. Thinking about reloading for my rifles but I'm also getting my archery shit back in order. Also, I"m trying to get all those little projects outta the way. Ya know the stuff I mean. All the stuff that keeps getting put aside for one reason or another. I'm hoping to get them all done before the kids go back to school. Other than that. The world turns and shit happens.

Time for a new post
Well I'm still out on disability from that shoulder op.It would'nt be so bad if I wasn't limited on what I can do. Kindda strange isn't it? We all want time to do what we want, but when we get it there are always limitations. AAAGGGGHHH!!! I'm tempted to head for the trap and skeet range and try shooting left handed. Dove season is coming up and I don't want to miss it.

Light at the end of the tunnel
well I'm almost through with disability. One more month and I'm back to work. I'm hoping to find something in the propane field again. I love that kind of work. There's an element of danger that is a real rush. I'm been through a lot of emergencies that have burned me or temporarely blinded me and even had narrowly avoided major explosions that could've wipedout the surrounding area. You really feel alive when you come close to death. (guess that's why I got married):] I've built or worked on most of the trucks in northern california so I'm hoping to find some work close to home. (and a good hospital)

I'm BAAACK.
Well wifey posted some for me but I geuss I should keep things current. Almost done recovering from shoulder surgery. It was a little rougher than ussual coming outta surgery this time. Man I was Wacked!! Damn gas passer hit me with the elephant shit. It took two days to pull myself together and three for my stomach to forgive me. Worst part is the pain killers, DID'nt!!! Damn pills are'nt good for anything but drugging the cat and watching stumble around. >] Callie seems to like them though. I might be out for one more month but not sure. Staying home is BORING!!!!!!! And the oldest rats me out to her mother if I try and work around here. Some daddy's little girl she is. Gonna get her a perch. Then she'll have something to sit on when she plays the stool pigeon. Other than that the weathers good, the TV shows suck and I gotta go hunting before the nieghbors dogs and cats start turning up missing. AAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Not quite a hostile takeover
I just wanted to post something on hubby's blog.
Just updating quickly - he's no longer the weld supervisor. That company sucked! He worked there for 10 months, and was nothing more than a glorified baby-sitter with no say-so in how things were run. During that whole time, he worked the swing shift, and anyone who knew him could see that the hours were definately taking their toll.
He took a non-supervisory position at a different company, and couldn't be happier (at least for now). The new company seems to treat the employees well, and cares about quality and workmanship.
Plus, he works a (somewhat)regular shift. Woot!
Home is chaotic as usual. Kids are crazy and screaming at each other most days. But, it's fun.
I'll see if I can get him to post more often in the future.

Weld Supervisor
That my new title. As of tomorrow I will be working for a new company in a new line of work. I have been hired to oversee the swing shift crew of welders. I am no longer a working leadman. This is a really big step up for me. Even with my old bonuses I will be making close to $6.00 more an hour. The hours will be quite different but it will help with the kids until they are old enough to get themselves to school. I also get my weekends back. :D I am a little nervous about this. I've been in charge before but in a company that I new them business. Once I make probation I'll feel better. My old boss didn't take my leaving very well. In fact I've dumped women who took it better. I did do the right thing and gave him plenty of notice and tried to do the best I could while I still worked there. Callie even suggested that once things settle down at the new job I open my own repair business on the side. I've mentioned it to the customers as I worked on their trucks and got a really good response from all of them. One customer even offered me six inspection jobs right of the bat. This looks to be an interesting year and hopefully one of the best years my little family has had. Wish me luck. I'll keep things up to date as things progress.

Wow, fast year!
Hi, sorry for the long pause between posts. I've never been much of a writer. (Even though my aunt calls me a "story teller") I can't believe the end of the year is in sight. Man that was fast. I've barely had a chance to poke in on everyone else's blogs lately. It's like the suburban life here just sucked me in consumed my life. I never would've thought it could happen. The girls are growing like weeds and callie is, well, she's callie. I'm so lucky to have her. Without her I'd be lost. (Or up for the hedonism award) I'm still slugging away at the scoot, but haven't had any cash to throw at it in earnest. I am thinking about painting the Honda. Something with a little umph! I have some colors in the garage I like so I won't have to buy anymore. Out side of that, My life as a square peg in a round hole goes on. Folks just look at me like I'm gonna go off and pillage the town. Maybe I should, the wait must be killing them.

HHmmm
Well folks, I'm back. Not much serious stuff to talk about. Seen some things that made me think. (And it wasn't nasty) haven't had much time to hunt but I'm planning another trip soon. Learned a little about physics today. A 1800 lb truck traveling at 70 mph can bounce a 4 oz bird 20ft in the air off a 45 degree surface and not leave a red mark. Isn't science amazing.

No Title
Not much happening. Waiting for the next hunting trip. The cats will be glad to see me go. I've been using them for practice. Bobcat season is what I've been waiting for so I dress the cats up to look like them and then I HUNT them. >)

When is a good time???
With all my attention being focused on hunting and being in the woods a question popped up. (Especially after talking with callie this morning) I believe it's important for everyone to know how to tell north from south and to do it without a compass. Face it, every year the news runs lotsa stories about some poor fool hiking or skiing and getting lost. I'm wondering when would be a good time to teach my girls how to navigate and to read a map an compass? I'm thinking I'd like to start taking them hiking and slowly get them started. That sound like a plan??

Counting the days
Just a few more days till deer season. I took munchkin out Monday and sighted in the hawkens. It was fun, she saw a young doe and got so excited. Her eyes were big as pies. I was a little worried that the smoke might bother her. After all, muzzle loaders are called smoke poles. But right after the first shot she said "daddy can I have one of those guns". She was having a good time. A real chip off the old block. I honestly think she'll be the one that's gonna wanna go hunting with me when she's old enough. I hope that even if they don't like hunting both munchkin and kidlet understand why it's needed and respect others rights to do it. Anyway, I gotta get my possibles pouch ready tonight. The kids still think its one of mom's purses.

Tis the Season
I'm getting all a twitter as hunting season gets closer. I've decided to put a 110% effort into my hunts from now on. I use to but then I just got discouraged and when at it half ass. But now I've come to the conclusion that if I'm gonna spend the money and time I'm gonna do it right. Callie will probably get sick of it but I can actually hunt all year long for various game. This year I'll be using my .45 cal hawkens. It's a muzzleloader I built from a kit. I hope to get my bear tag after I get my bobcat tags. I'm even considering joining a varmit hunting club in Sacramento. It mat take awhile for me to get into the full swing of things but I cant spend the rest of my life dreaming about being in the woods or bagging game.
For those of you that don't approve of hunting. What was a need to gather food has now become a tool to manage wildlife as we encroach into their habitat. We have upset the balance and it is our responsibility to fix it.

Another "Ever Wonder"
It seems that as I get older the more these things pop into my head. Maybe I'm finally growing-up. (Dad said it would never happen)(Old fart)
Anyway, I've been thinking about my thirty year high school reunion and my high school sweetheart popped into my head. The one girl I thought I could never live without. My first true love. As I thought about those days and the ones that followed. I realized that all the "mistakes" I made with her and with the women I got involved with along the way were not really mistakes. I came to think of it as fate taking an active hand in my destiny. Without dragging this out into some life-long story in pain staking detail. I'll just say that there were times when all I had to do to get involved with a woman was to shut my mouth and smile. But instead I would completely destroy the situation for no apparent reason. But when it came to Callie, I seemed to try harder. Granted I still fucked-up from time to time, but she would give me another chance. And believe me I wanted them. That's why I started to wonder. Were those mistakes I made with other women really mistakes? I don't think so because mistakes you regret making. I'm happy and don't regret loosing those women. I am happy and feel this is where I am suppose to be. Maybe we are just feathers blowing in the winds of destiny like the Forrest Gump intro.
