Busier than a one legged dog with fleas

Just a quick update. We bought a hot tub this weekend at the state fair. So now I have to pour a 10ft x 10ft cement slab. At that to the fence post I have to break free from the cement that was ruined by the pool diggers and the cem,ent sitting area in the front of the house. At least I wont have to pour cement like I planned in front of the gate. I just got to level the dirt, put up a few trees and relocate one small tree and re plant grass. At least it's hunting season. Can't go hunting but I can dream. :) Gotta run, I'm running into my six hours of sleep I get a night.

Serves me right

A few days ago I received an e-mail from some very special. They asked me to forward it to others and the more I sent it to the better things would get. Well, I sent it off to a whole lotta people. And guess what? Things changed. While doing a repair at work on a particularly dirty truck I was interrupted to do an inspection on a truck that had just come in. Normally these inspections become nightmares fast. This was smooth and quick. Problem was, I left two wrenches on the back as it drove off. One mine the other the shops. No sweat, I know where he's heading an he can drop them off on the way home. I call his shop and they say he's already on his way home. Bullshit! I know he had one stop to make and it's impossible to get there that fast. His office says, " Oh well". I say, "fine I'll drive 150 miles and pick them up. Now I'm pissed. As I resume work on the repair, road dirt and grease start falling on me continuously. And As I am putting fresh tranny fluid in it the valve slips and shoots fluid in my face. Then Callie calls and says that kidlet didn't get into the after school program so I need to pick her up further away. Not at practice Callie informs me that this little mistake will cost about 500.00 extra a month. To top it off as I'm bringing kidlet home I find the some plastic was smeared on the pipes of my new bike. Now that I'm home I'm praying nothing else goes wrong. I thought Things were suppose to get better. I feel like I've been shot at an missed and shit at an hit!

Another good time!

Well our oldest had her B-day this weekend and we all went to a water park on Saturday. It was my first time there and I loved it. Something about being wet an sliding in a tube just made me happy. I didn't get a chance to go on all the slides because munchkin dominated my time and DEMANDED we repeatedly go on the same slides in the kiddy area. But I did enjoy myself and making her happy is what I'm here for anyway. Kidlet had a friend along so they took off and aside from getting to go on a slide with them, I was pretty much left outta the loop. I"m hoping to get a chance to go without the kids some evening so Callie an I can have some fun and be kids again. I also took kidlet on her longest motorcycle ride yet to get her soccer stuff. As expected I spent too much on her but I"m allowed. I'm the Daddy. The weekend would've been expensive but I just happened to sell my 1980 750 Honda and we actually made 400.00 after the all was said an done. Not bad , huh? I would luv to get a few couples together and go to the water park and then out party'in after. A fun adult night out. Anyone care to join us????

Damn near done!

Wow, whatta week. I started working O.T. and that means up at 3:15 every morning and work till 4pm. Today however I get to do something different. I get to work a side job (just for the day) and make some quick cash. (hopefully a lot) Actually this could possibly be the first step in opening my own Propane repair shop. I mentioned this to Callie years ago but we both seem to be a lil apprehensive about taking the leap. Since I've been back with the old shop I've made lotsa new contacts an have had lots of good responses for customers about some of my ideas. I just hope I can get this job done quickly. I think Callie doesn't like the idea of me not coming straight home on a Friday. But if things go well it'll come in handy. Bug weekend planned and the extra $$$ will be welcome. Oh well, time for coffee and then out the door.

P.S. Jessica and Dani, we pick the tiles for the pool next week. :D

Scary Movies

I don' know if this will be said right, after I"m not a writer. What I"m about to write has been a part of my life since I was a young kid. And at times has been responsible for the way I picked my apartments, firearms, and in one case my first house.
OK, here it goes. Back when I was a kid my folks took me to the drive-in. At least I think I was the only child to be taken. I don't remember my sis or bro being there. Anyway, the movie was Night of the Living Dead. I was just 9 yrs old back in '68. I remember sitting in the back of the 56 Chevy scared to death. I would freak out every time someone would walk by the car. That movie gave me nightmares for years. (Ask Callie) The fear of what the movie depicted was not enough. A month or so later my mother died. I had never seen a dead body before and seeing my mom laid out there scared me half to death. It seems that any little thing that would remind me of that movie would set off a week or so of nightmares. When I was old enough I learn how to use any firearm I could find and use it well. The marines made it clear that ammo can be picked up easy enough if you just kill your enemy and take their weapons. After military life I had to make sure I was always safe so every apartment I had was easily defendable. With just a little effort I could hole up safely. I have tried lotsa different ways to get over this fear in the back of my head. All the other movies that have come along have'nt effected me the way the first one did. Callie, at my insistence brought home the latest version of Dawn of the Dead. The original put the idea in my head that supplies will be needed along other living needs. Callie was less than thrilled to hear I wanted to see the movie. Finally she broke down and rented it. That movie had the one thing that brought back the original fears. The living dead moved just like normal folks. No rigga, they were fast and ran when they chased their victims. Now it seems that these old fears of mine come flooding back depending on which way I go to work. The hwy by the house has losta folks commuting, the back road (which is faster) is dark, lonely and very eerie. I must admit that with all this I have managed to live with the realization that I'm wacked. I guess movies have more of an impact on the young than I would've guessed. Now that I'm older and have kids of my own I'm more aware of what they see and what I'll let them see. Besides, Callie would've never liked the gun belt with a loaded revolver hanging on the bed post or a rifle or shotgun by the door. Not sure why I wanted to post this lil bit of info, but I recently have been taking the back road to work. Boo

:D

Well it seems like all is running along smoothly. My new commuter bike is sweet! The ride is so much more comfy. Callie an I went down to the Honda shop an bought me a new (never had a new scoot) 750cc shadow areo. Thing looks like a 61 FLH Harley. It's great on gas and on the ass. The old 1980 750four used to make me slide forward every time I hit the brakes and basically pulled my nuts under me. Man, that's sucked. I am SOOOOOOOOOOO happy now. All that's left is to finish the Evo and our oldest's 61 sporty. Callie has yet to do any work on her BSA. But I'm hopeful. And now I know how I want me blockhead to look. Things are just falling into place.

Your best friends are nuts,
The guy who lives behind you in an asshole,
And everytime you get excited you throw-up and then pass out.

It's their last day on Weight Watchers and No more Blow Jobs.

We're home!

Well that was a good camping trip. The camp site could've been a little better, but everything else was great. We made plans for a good spot for Labor Day so we're getting better at this. The lake was just beautiful! Cool water but just enough to feel good. The only problem with the trip is that cost. Over 900.00 total. On the way home the fuel pump on my pick-up went south. We had to be towed to a dealership and a good friend had to come a get callie an take her home so she could get her car and come back an get the girls an me. It's a shame all that didn't happen first so I could've relaxed over the weekend instead of being relaxed and then getting stressed before returning home. What'd waste of a super weekend. Dani, you're gonna have to show us how to do it right.
